Is it time to expand your clinical practice in an area with immense potential?

Do you want to…

  • Acquire and refine your tools for accurate diagnosis, specifically for assessing the balance between qi and blood;

  • Understand the physiology and pathology for each of the traditional ten months of pregnancy in the Chinese medical classics;

  • Access a thousand years of source literature, elegantly translated by Sabine Wilms, as well as historical and contemporary uses of this material in East Asia, expertly summarized by Leo;

  • Apply this information safely, effectively, and ethically in the contemporary clinical context; and

  • Explore possible modifications and substitutions?

Course Outline

In this month-long advanced training course, Sabine Wilms and Leo Lok show you in three units how to support your pregnant patients from conception to delivery, within the paradigm of traditional Chinese medicine:

Unit 1

After introducing you to our sources and the historical context, we discuss the physiology and pathology of the first two months of pregnancy.

Unit 2

Here, we cover the key turning point of the third month, the concept of “fetal education” 胎教, and the months in the middle of pregnancy.

Unit 3

We discuss the last three months of pregnancy and preparation for a smooth delivery by treatments for “making the fetus slippery” 滑胎藥.

What you receive…

  • Three units with three pre-recorded hour-long lessons per unit (nine hours total)
