To promote personal connection, exchange of real information, and mutual nourishment in the spirit of traditional Chinese medicine, we have created an online community. It is open to our friends and colleagues in Chinese medicine, near and far, as a forum to discuss our monthly podcast, engage with us directly during any courses you may be taking with us, follow our work and request future offerings, and to connect to other community members with similar interests. Moongate

On the first day of each lunar month (i.e. the New Moon), we invite you to enter the Qi of the month with a Dimsum cart full of delights. In each month’s “moongate” post, you learn about the associated earthly branch and zodiac animal, seasonal nodes and holidays, stories, art, quotes, and other pertinent cultural information. In this way, we honor the traditional Chinese calendar and situate ourselves in the macrocosm and our local microcosms.
Clinical Gems

We want to help you by advancing your clinical practice and expanding your tool chest! So we present you with clinical cases, diagnostic tricks, innovative therapeutic methods, and discussions of traditional knowledge that is otherwise not accessible in the West. In our unprecedented collaboration, we explore the limitless treasure house of Chinese medicine in contemporary and traditional Chinese medical texts, to share our most exciting discoveries, in alignment with the theme of the month.
Medical Chinese Dimsum

We also delight in sharing our knowledge of the Chinese language with you. So each month, we treat you to explorations of characters and phrases that are relevant to the theme of the month. Through these recordings, we aim to introduce you to the language and literature of traditional Chinese medicine.
Translation

One of Sabine’s favorite passions is translation. Paired with Leo’s limitless supply of “translation candy,” we will try hard to restrain ourselves and not overwhelm you with too many nerdy literal translation posts.
Our Vision

Originally conceived as Dr. Wilms’ “Imperial Tutor mentorship,” the collaboration with Leo Lok has shifted our focus: to respond more effectively and joyfully to the need of the current moment, we want to not just educate, but also play, connect, and express ourselves with curiosity and creativity. We want this to be a healing space for the Chinese medicine community!
A Virtual Teahouse

Our community provides a lovingly moderated, self-contained gathering place for practitioners, created specifically for the exchange of information and “healing Qi” between Leo and Sabine and all our members. Always open and ready to receive you, no matter where you are and what time it is in your part of the world, our online platform and asynchronous discussion forum is waiting for you, and we can’t wait to receive your questions, insights, cases, and additional resources.
Culture, Arts, Food, and Play

We both love food and care deeply about food as a powerful vehicle for joy and healing and connection. We also love to express ourselves creatively, have a deep appreciation for art and poetry, and happen to be into ecstatic dancing and other ways of making the Qi flow…. This is the part where we get to just frolic in the fountain of life, to replenish our Qi in community with you all. We so look forward to receiving your feedback as we invite you to dance and play with us.
